Animal Rescue Society deplores euthanasia
Last year, 150 dogs were euthanized in the M.D. of Big Lakes. Only eight, however, was the number in the Town of High Prairie which is 30 less than in 2004. The Prairie Animal Rescue Society, the Town of High Prairie and the M.D. of Big Lakes will be working together to find a beneficial way to ensure the safety of all unclaimed animals.

The Prairie River Community Education Council donated $2,000 to the High Prairie and District Sports Complex Society Feb. 14 to be used to finance the second ice surface, gymnasium facility.
