Jaime Borduzak, front, and Larry Greer, back, take a peek at the Greer family’s heifer that will be entered in the Carcass Class Evaluation during the Peace Country Beef Congress on Jan 12-13, in High Prairie. The Carcass Class is a new addition to the nine-year running event. Borduzak says this will teach people how to purchase top quality beef and what to look for. She adds it will be interesting to see how some people react to the new category.

High Prairie Town Council approved their 2007 Interim Budget on Dec. 20 during their regular council meeting.
Thrashers shutout Beaverlodge
Haiden Buchan was perfect as he stopped all 25 shots fired his way to lead the High Prairie True Value Atom Thrashers to a 9-0 win at Beaverlodge Dec. 17.
