Haiden Buchan was perfect as he stopped all 25 shots fired his way to lead the High Prairie True Value Atom Thrashers to a 9-0 win at Beaverlodge Dec. 17. While Buchan was perfect, his teammates provided plenty of offense in the win. Davis Rose and Dawson Keay each had hat-tricks while Bryar Sware, Riley Prevost and Brennen Walker added singles. Prevost, Luke Bellerose and Joe Bliss all enjoyed two-point games. The Thrashers had period leads of 4-0 and 7-0 in winning the game. Each team took only two minor penalties in the contest. The Thrashers pulled into a second place tie in the All Peace Minor Hockey League’s Atom Tier 1 Division with Grande Cache with the win. Each club has a 4-3-0 record, eight points behind Grande Prairie who still remains perfect at 8-0-0. With the loss, Beaverlodge remains winless on the season in eight games.
