Premier coming to town April 28

Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach is coming to High Prairie April 28 for a meet and greet with area constituents. The afternoon and evening event begins at about 3:30 p.m. at the High Prairie Legion Hall when coffee and doughnuts will be served. The roast beef dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. Music will be provided by Dennis Hazen, who will be performing for everyone’s enjoyment during supper. Celebrity waiters will help serve the meal including Stelmach. The meet and greet occurs after supper in a very informal atmosphere. A live auction will be held at the supper with one of the prizes being a seasonal lot at Shaw’s Point Resort. “The businesses have been very generous,” says organizer Judy Shybunia. “They’re always so generous.” Any additional items can be dropped off at Emerald Trucking. For tickets call Kerrie Patrick at 523-5279, Linda Williscroft at 523-3909, Judy Shybunia at 523-2222 or Cee Cee’s Coffee House at 523-5130. They sell for $35 each and are going fast. A maximum of only 200 will be sold. The meet and greet is sponsored by the Lesser Slave Lake Progressive Conservative Constituency Association.
