Jackson offering $20 to anyone bringing a rake for cabin landscaping

As promised, councillors from the M.D. of Big Lakes and Town of High Prairie will be out in full force June 10 to finish landscaping at the cabin won by Hartley Jackson. But if anyone else wants to join in, they are more than welcome and will be rewarded. Mel Adrian, who spearheaded the successful venture, says the day will also include a barbecue hosted by Champion Technologies. The day kicks off at around 9:30-10 a.m. with the work. The barbecue will be held from noon-3 p.m. Adrian says anyone bringing a rake can partake in the barbecue and receive $20 courtesy of Jackson. It’s Jackson’s way of saying thanks to everyone involved in the cabin lottery. Workers will complete the landscaping at the site. Adrian says the work will virtually complete the project with a few more odds and ends to complete. In addition, tours of the cabin will be made available to the public for anyone interested in seeing what it looks like. To get to the cabin, simply take the main entrance into Joussard, then turn left just past the school. The road heading west will take you to the cabin about a kilometer away.
