For those seeking to lose weight or become more muscular, Supreme Fitness has all the exercise equipment they need. Located next to KBS-TV, Supreme Fitness opened its doors Dec. 1 and business has been brisk. Owners Brad and Debbie Parke spent November renovating the building. The front area has treadmills, exercise bikes and weightlif- ting equipment. The back room is being renovated for tanning beds and change rooms. Aerobics will also be held in the back room, beginning in January. “We welcome anyone to come in and check it out,” says Debbie Parke. Parke comments that she and her husband had their own weight battles. So they got exercise equipment for their own use, but it grew into a business. They are running the business by themselves for now, but will hire staff once everything is running smoothly. Scott Marcoux and Jason Blachford are among their early clients and they like the wide variety of equipment on site. Blachford also finds the fees to be reasonable. “It’s a quiet place,” says Marcoux, who works out four times a week. Blachford doesn’t exercise a lot, but he wants to keep in shape. Supreme Fitness sells protein powders, and offers drop-in, gold membership and other rates. A grand opening will be held in January. Promotions will be offered at that time. The hours of operation are Monday to Friday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and Sunday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call Supreme Fitness at 536-0075.
