Remembrance Day Contest- Students win Legion awards

St. Andrew’s School produced two winners. Chaylene Ominayak, centre, placed first in the Intermediate Poem category. She won $35 for her efforts. Kara Noskey, absent, placed second in the same category and won $20. Ominayak is in Grade 9, Noskey in Grade 8. Presenting the awards Dec. 11 are High Prairie Legion treasurer George Bennett, left, and Legion poppy chairman Rollie Johnson.

Prairie River Junior High School produced two winners. Sarah Cole, middle right, placed first and Serena Potvin, middle left, second in the Intermediate Essay category. Cole wins $35 and Potvin $20. Presenting the awards are High Prairie Legion treasurer George Bennett, left, and Legion poppy chairman Rollie Johnson.

E.W. Pratt High School produced two winners, both Grade 10 students. Terryn Gauchier, centre, placed first in the Senior Colour Poster category. She won $35 for her efforts.
