High Prairie’s Justin Paul, left, skates past the check of Valleyview’s Frazier Caron Dec. 13 at the Sports Palace. The Regals defeated the Jets 4-3 as Paul scored twice after missing three games with a concussion. Ryan Erasmus and Ryan Trimble added the other goals. Ryan Reeves scored twice with Caron adding the other goals for the Jets. The Regals then blasted the hometown Grimshaw Huskies 13-6 Dec. 14 as six Regals scored at least two goals. Paul scored three goals and added two assists in the rout, which saw High Prairie lead 6-0 after one period, 10-2 after two and 12-3 in the third. Lance Gauchier and T.J. Cunningham each had two goals and four assists, Rollie Gladue had two goals and two assists and Tim Cunningham and Tyler Shants each had two goals and an assist. The Regals still lead the North Peace Hockey League’s East Division by one point over the surging Lakeland Eagles but the Regals have a game in hand. The clubs will still play each other fives time this season.
