The Jungle Book at HPE Feb. 28-29

What’s a jungle without a few elephants, complete with long trunks, albeit shiny in this case? Left-right are Cynara Pichay, Jena Mouallem and Joey Nemec. Pichay was the baby elephant, Pichay and Mouallem elephant troops.

Shelley Henkel played the part of the evil tiger, Shere Khan. Throughout the play Shere Khan tried desperately to kill Mowgli.

Bagheera, left, played by Sharlie Zaboltoniuk, ties a bra around Baloo, played by Wyatt Lauck. How odd it was to see a bear this way! No matter, the audience found it humourous.

King Louie, centre, played by Jacqueline Larson, is escorted onto the stage by two monkeys including Matt Marquardt, left, and Joseph Villa. Later, the classic song, I Wanna Be Like You was performed.

Tree props resembling the jungle were green and flush. Leean Peyre, left, and Ashley Rigaux-Courtoreille. Peyre also played the role of ants in the play.
