The Gordon Buchanan Recreation Centre officially opened on April 4, with hundreds of people attending the event. The opening ceremony was held in the evening, with Gordon Buchanan as the guest of honour. In addition to cutting the ribbon, he dropped the puck for Jared Dumont (left) and Shelby Pratt during the ceremonial face-off.
