A Texas Scramble golf tournament held June 4-5 was part of the Elks and Royal Purple Conference. Dave Franz makes a drive on the fairway for the sixth hole, just before the bridge and water obstacle. Franz represents the Didsbury Elks Lodge BPOE 514.

Peter Zahacy, left, 92, is the oldest member of the High Prairie Elks. He receives his pin for 65 years of membership from Alberta Elks President Ken Komzrnisky. Zahacy walked 14 miles to attend meetings.

The provincial Elks conference was held in the Elks Hall June 6, and various reports were presented following the opening ceremony.
