Canada Day in Joussard and Shaws Point
Shaws Point - Justin Elliot airbrushes a tattoo on Daylen Thompson’s arm. Elliot uses various cut outs for his designs, and he spray paints different colours on the person’s arm. Daylen Thompson was proud to show off his tattoo.

Shaws Point - Keisha Thorburn, left, turns five-year-old Jayden Rothwell into Spider-Man. Thorburn was one of several people to paint children’s faces.

Joussard - Darnell Willier, 9, of Sucker Creek, was one of many children who enjoyed the ‘shower of soap’ courtesy of the Joussard Fire Department.
Joussard - Gienna Lamarche, 3, of Joussard, must have had some help in decorating her bicycle for the bicycle parade.
Joussard - Noah Blum, left, and Aadam Stalker were two three-year-old participants in the egg spoon race. Organizers held many races which had children laughing throughout the afternoon.
Joussard - Tyrel Gibson, 12, of Grimshaw, was all wrapped up – literally – in Canada Day festivities.
Joussard - Canada Day is not only a time to celebrate the country’s birthday but a time for families to gather. This family is represented by four generations. Left-right are great-grandchild Aadam Stalker, 3, grandmother Angele Leganchuk, great-grandmother Antoinette Goutier, great-grandchild Kayla Stalker, 5, and mother Claudette Stalker.
