During the night of July 11-12, vandals destroyed some of the trees along Railway Avenue by running over them with quads. A caller to South Peace News says the quad riders were roaring up and down the street late at night. The next morning, at least five trees were destroyed by quads running over them. The incident was not reported to police as of July 17. Above, a sign pleading with residents of High Prairie to “Please look after our trees” is framed with one of the trees destroyed.
