Parks Day at Winagami

Parks Day is not only about fun but education. Above, Jade Grammar, 6, of McLennan, enjoyed bug dipping where children identified bugs and green growth in the water.

As they have done for many years, Conservation officers cooked the free lunch to hungry patrons at Parks Day. Above, left-right, are Nuoy Gauthier, 9, Mai Gauthier, 11, and Conservation officer from High Prairie, James Williams. The Gauthier sisters live in Donnelly.

One thing can be said for Parks Day. Almost every year the weather Gods cooperate with warm and sunny weather. It makes the wading pool a popular place for children. Above, Isabelle Nicolet-Thibault, 4, of Falher, enjoys a cool dip.
