Kinuso and District Fire Hall hosted their annual Firefighter Appreciation Day Aug. 16, with volunteer firefighters and their families coming from around the M.D. Of Big Lakes for the event. This water bladder proved very popular with children of all ages - including the firefighters! Nearly everyone received a dunking by the end of the day, willingly or not. They also had fun unravelling hoses and aiming them at filled soft drink bottles in hose bowling. For an even greater challenge, the firefighters dressed up in full gear to hit a golf ball to a flag, while others just hit the ball without the gear.
