The A&W Root Bear and Albert Babkirk, 89, dance the night away at the ‘50s and ‘60s Family Dance at the High Prairie Municipal Library Sept. 13. The dance was part of a weekend of celebrations organized mostly by Janet Porter and Vicky Barsalou called High Prairie Settlement Celebrations. A&W was one of many major sponsors so it was fitting the Root Bear attended.

It’s been too long as far as East Prairie Metis Settlement residents are concerned, but the grand opening of the Baker’s Crossing Bridge is scheduled for Sept. 30 at 2 p.m.
