Members of Victor Prinz’s family carry his ashes and his photo across the newly-named Victor Prinz Bridge crossing Baker’s Crossing near East Prairie Sept. 30. Prinz worked tirelessly to convince many levels of government to replace the bridge which burned Feb. 20, 2003. Rose Prinz, centre, carries Victor’s ashes across the bridge during the ceremony. Daughter Violet Prinz, left, carries a photo while son Victor Prinz Jr. accompanies. Other family members also crossed but are not shown. The ceremony was hosted by the M.D. of Big Lakes and East Prairie Metis Settlement.

Just two for all-candidates meeting
