High Prairie Fire Department Fire Chase

Children were certainly eager to start the five-kilometre portion of the race first. Most adults were only too willing to take a more leisurely stroll behind. Over 150 registered for this year’s run, the highest in the event’s five-year history.

The fire department hired a band called The Alternators to provide entertainment before the race. Left-right are Tahza Cardinal, Mike Marzotko and Rob Pardell. Not in the photo are Dave McConnell and Alex Marzotko. Band members come from High Prairie, Joussard and Kinuso.
