Jeff Burgar is seeking volunteers to organize High Prairie’s 100th anniversary celebration in 2010.
Summer is the tentative date, says the special projects coordinator, with the event tied to the new hospital.
“The big news is, we’re working with the community health foundation,” says Burgar. “They’ve got the major fundraiser for the CT Scan, so any activities that lend themselves to fundraising, the proceeds will go toward it.”
Advertising for the celebration will begin in January 2009.
High Prairie Mayor Rick Dumont has asked each councillor for 100 names to invite. The public is encouraged to submit names and make suggestions for activities.
For more information or to volunteer, please call Burgar at 780-523-9203 or the town office at 780-523-3388.
