its generosity and helping someone in need.
Hospital money in place,
project under review
The Alberta Government remains committed to building the
new High Prairie hospital, but the entire scope of the
project is under review and the cost and construction
will be spread over six years.
ATCO donates $50,000 to training facility
On April 4, ATCO formally presented the High Prairie Fire
Department with a $50,000 donation.
Kinuso votes May 26
It’s the day chosen by Alberta Municipal Affairs on whether
or not residents vote to dissolve the Village of Kinuso.
$200,000 for alliance
The Lesser Slave Lake Economic Alliance has received $200,000
from the Community Development Trust fund program as part of
money allocated to all of Alberta’s regional economic alliances.
Man, 30, stabbed at house party
A house party on Driftpile First Nation which spiraled out of
control had landed a Desmarais man in hospital.
Seal Lake road announcement days away
The M.D. of Big Lakes is cautiously optimistic the Alberta
government will be announcing very soon a resource road grant

team has completed another successful season by capping the
year with their third straight High Prairie School Division
title April 4 in Slave Lake. / It’s one of High Prairie’s
biggest events, as the eighth annual Gun and Sportsman Show
will be held in both arenas this weekend.
