$40,000 to build outdoor rink
It would cost approximately $40,000 for the Town of High Prairie to
build an outdoor rink, for the paved asphalt surface, boards and four
posts for lighting, but excludes the power cost, says Walker. The rink
would be 60 feet by 40 feet.
Town to get new street sweeper
The Town of High Prairie has taken possession of a new street sweeper
for $149,000 instead of $160,000.
Winter Light-Up now 100% LED
The Town of High Prairie’s Winter Light-Up is now using only LED lights,
which are more energy efficient than standard Christmas lights.

Hall to honour the best bowlers in its seniors leagues. Grey Power won this

Team X-Treme claims 2008-09 title
Enilda Mud Bowl rewarded its best bowlers during the 2008-09 season at
their annual awards banquet April 24 at the Enilda W.I. Hall. This year,
cash prizes were awarded instead of trophies and/or gifts. Carla Auger and
Peter Laderoute were honoured as the bowlers-of-the-year while Team X-Treme

Grade 1 teacher receives nod for Edwin Parr Award
The staff and students are proud to announce that Melissa Isaac, a Grade 1
teacher at HPE, is this year’s nominee for the Alberta School Boards Association
Edwin Parr Award. She was selected as the first-year teacher to represent the High
Prairie School Division 48.
