HPE has Talent! You bet they do

Chris Clegg
for South Peace News

The High Prairie Elementary School gymnasium was rocking May 14 as several dozen students braved appearing in front of their students at HPE Has Talent. Formerly called HPE Idol, the school encourages students to appear on stage and perform. Acts ran the entire gamut from playing musical instruments, singing, skipping, acrobatics, comedy, an Inuit games demonstration and much more. No prizes are awarded at HPE Has Talent; rather, the afternoon is held as a strictly fun event. Master of ceremonies Melissa Isaac provoked the audience to encourage each act with a hearty “Let’s show them some HPE love” and that they did. Each class was allowed to select two acts for the final show.
