A grant proposal from the M.D. of Big Lakes was denied to upgrade the Snipe Lake
road, work on bridges and regrade Range Road 172 under the Alberta government’s
resource road program.

Pratt announces May’s Shining Stars
Each month during the school year, E.W. Pratt High School will be
selecting three outstanding students who best exhibit the qualities
in a chosen characteristic. May was ‘optimism’ month at Pratt; staff
watched to see which students exhibited optimism not only to themselves
but to staff and students. This month’s theme is ‘self-motivation’.

Ayles Grade 11 Jenny Ayles really likes the variety of options courses
here at E.W. Pratt because she thinks classes like I.A. and Cosmetology are

Grade 11 Taneshia Hammoud loves to be creative and is very artistic.
She likes to paint and draw, but she also enjoys reading and playing tennis.

attending our school because “people push to make it better” by using surveys and
always trying to improve.
