A use for everything

Just what is Kayli Robinson, 4, doing with an old laundry jug? Making a laundry soap jug guitar! Fourteen children attended the High Prairie and District Museum July 9 to participate in a fun craft as part of the museum’s summer program. Above, Robinson decorates her guitar before placing rubber hands over the top. Not seen is the hole cut on the other side of the jug to complete the guitar! Children will be making all sorts of interesting items and learning this summer while attending the free sessions, held from 2-4 p.m. each day. This week the children will be doing soapstone carving July 14, playdough fossils July 15 and hand painting July 16. A fun day of games will complete the week July 17.
