Police seize cocaine in High Prairie

The RCMP has charged Jonathan David Halen, 23, of Edmonton with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of a crime, possession of stolen property, obstructing a police officer and speeding.
The RCMP stopped Halen July 31 because he was speeding. They seized the vehicle, an undisclosed amount of cash and approximately 195 doses of cocaine. It was determined the vehicle was stolen from Edmonton, which has been returned to the insurance company.
Halen has been remanded in custody and will appear in High Prairie provincial court Aug. 24 to answer the charges.
