Land use bylaw amendment receives third reading
High Prairie town council has given third reading to the Town’s land use amendment bylaw.
Council held a public hearing during their Aug. 12 meeting to hear positions for and against
the amendment, but no one spoke.
Town bylaws being reviewed for updating
The Town is reviewing several bylaws for updating, says CAO Lonny Miller.
Additional $2,000 approved for Sports Palace lighting
High Prairie town council has approved an additional $2,000 for new lighting for the Sports Palace,
bringing the amount of money to be spent to $18,000.
PASZA membership decision deferred
High Prairie town council has deferred a decision for membership with the Peace Air Shed Zone
Association.

Argentina, up until recently a major beef exporter, says that beef price increases of 20 per
cent threatens it’s economy. The Argentine government is limiting exports. Cattle producers
are moving from grass-fed beef to mechanized feed lots and other modern treatments to increase
production.
