Earlier this year, the High Prairie Golf Club applied for and received a grant under the Alberta government’s Community Facility Enhancement Program. The money officially arrived June 23 but it wasn’t until the Lesser Slave Lake Progressive Conservative Association Golf Tournament Sept. 12 that MLA Pearl Calahasen had a chance to participate in the cheque presentation. Left-right are golf club president Dan Sloan, grounds superintendent Mike Ochran, pro shop supervisor Joanne Smith and Calahasen. The money will be used for course improvements and the purchase of much-needed equipment.
