Just under 100 people attended High Prairie Bethel Baptist Church’s Fall Harvest Festival
Sept. 27. Children and adults enjoyed several games and activities during the early afternoon
to the delight of everyone attending.

Tigers preparing to host soccer tournament
A soccer tournament is scheduled at Bishop Routhier School for Oct. 14 where other area
Northland Schools will be playing against our home Tiger teams. Fun times ahead!
Each month students gather in the gym for an assembly.
Teachers want to recognize students’ improvements and/or work habits. Students receive an
“On A Roll” certificate for their achievements.

Grades 5-6 had a presentation about laws and rules on Friday, Sept. 25.

It was raining so we could not go moose calling. We talked around the fire and then went to bed.

We went hunting and saw a deer, a moose and her baby, a wolf and a coyote

It took two hours just to get to Swan Hills. I slept in the cabin. I made a bow and arrow.

We saw chickens and moose tracks, but no moose. We picked medicinal plants. I had a
great trip even though it snowed.

The HPE Grade 6 class is getting a pet!
In about five weeks a baby guinea pig will be joining the class. Eric Larson and Kolby
Williscoft wrote a letter on behaviour of the class and presented to principal Jamie Babcock.
After speaking with the class she decided that “yes” the class could have a pet. Students
will now write resumes to become pet caretakers.
