Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!

Santa and Mrs. Claus were the guests of honour at the High Prairie and District Children’s Resource Council’s Christmas party. It was held at the Bethel Baptist Church Nov. 27 with about 70 people attending.

The event opened with some Christmas favourites, including ‘Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer’, ‘Jingle Bells’, ‘Here Comes Santa Claus’ and the ‘Reindeer Hokey Pokey’. Marlaina Goss and Melanie Smith led everyone in the singing.

Later, everyone enjoyed a light lunch of turkey sandwiches, muffins, cookies, popcorn and Mandarin oranges. Then Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived and offered their traditional Christmas greetings and asked the children what they want for Christmas.

Children also had their pictures taken with Santa, which was a fundraiser for the Children’s Resource Council.

The CRC had information about its many programs such as Parents As Teachers and Little Explorers. They also accepted registrations.
