Bread for the soul

Bethlehem means ‘House of Bread’ so it was only fitting one of the interactive stations at A Night In Bethlehem at the High Prairie Christian Centre Dec. 12 featured bread making. Children 4-10 years were invited to the hands-on Holy Land experience which included crafts, shops, food and fun. Of course, a manger scene with Mary and Joseph and the Baby Jesus completed the presentation. About 30 children and their parents braved the bitterly cold temperatures to attend. Above, six-year-old Shayla Chalifoux makes bread with Anna, played by Lynne Wilson.


Sucker Creek Women’s Shelter receives $10,000+ donation
The Sucker Creek Women’s Shelter has received a donation of $10,725.52, thanks to the volunteer efforts of Darlene Lightning-Mattson and Edna Willier.

All sorts of things come with warning labels and possible side-effects. Why not breast-feeding? I mean, someone should be letting young women know what can (will) happen to this one very-important body part. Not anti-breast-feeding material, just a good, honest, information packet.
