Children and families will have plenty of things to do in High Prairie in early February.

The High Prairie and District Children’s Resource Council will hold the Caring For Kids Conference Feb. 1-5, with a series of workshops and events at the CRC’s facilities and the Elks Hall.

“We have a number of speakers on health and early childhood education in northern Alberta,” says executive director Lindsay Davies. “It’s only $5 per family to attend the conference and they can choose what to attend.”

There are two fundraising events which have separate costs. One is the spaghetti lunch and mini-trade fair, in the Elks Hall at noon Feb. 3, with a cost of $5 per person (children two years old and under get in free) and $20 per day home or a family of five. A magic show will be held in the Elks Hall at 6 p.m. Feb. 5 and the cost is $10 per person, but children two years and under get in free.

The schedule for the conference is as follows:
