High Prairie took the time March 30 to recognize its emergency services personnel at the 2010 Emergency Services Ball at the Elks Stampede Grounds. Firefighters, RCMP, emergency medial technicians, peace officers, RCMP and auxiliary constables were all introduced, applauded and recognized for a job well done to keep our communites safe. Many people were also honoured for their years of service. High Prairie fire chief Ken Melnyk called his volunteer members "the noblest heroes" who answer the call for help when needed.
