Veteran honoured!
Lorne Napier, right, receives his 50-year Legion Membership Medal from current High Prairie Royal Canadian Legion president Don
Ebbett May 19 at the Legion Hall. Napier actually has more than 50 years of service. He joined the Legion shortly after the Second World
War but let his membership lapse in about 1958 for a couple years. Legion rules dictate the years are wiped from the record after membership
lapses for two years. Napier joined again the Legion again in 1960 and has been a member for 50 consecutive years since. Murray Couch received
his Membership Medal last year. Please see photo of Tony Belli on page 4. He received his Past President Medal the same evening.
