Meet High Prairie’s newest $100,000 lottery winner!
Judy Hamelin wasn't sure what she was seeing when she checked her ticket for the January 8 Lotto Max and Extra draws. There were definitely a lot of zeroes on the self-service ticket checker.
Hamelin matched the last six digits of the winning Extra number to win $100,000!
The Monday following the draw, Jan. 11, Hamelin took her ticket to a store to be checked.

Province may slap town, M.D. with hefty policing bill
The way everyone pays for policing in Alberta is being studied by the Government of Alberta.
Bridge options limited
A wait and see attitude is being taken before the M.D. of Big Lakes decides to take further action to replace the Joussard Mission Creek Bridge.

Brody McGee will once again be attending the Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes sponsored by Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada in Edmonton June 13.
