Canada wins trophy, students are winners

The E.W. Pratt High School students held a track meet for students at High Prairie Elementary School May 27. Students in each class were separated into teams which represented different countries around the world. After their teams were assembled, students broke into their grades for competition. Points were awarded for the highest placings in each grade. Students competed in shot put, long jump, discus, standing long jump, the 100-metre race, 50-metre race, javelin and wheelbarrow race. The true sportsmanship and fun had by HPE students was evident as students could be heard throughout the grounds cheering each other on. Meanwhile, Pratt students received high praise for their respect of the HPE students and their organization of the day. And, by the way, Canada won!
