This is the way we plant our trees!

For over 10 years, Grade 1 High Prairie Elementary School students have put aside an afternoon once a year to plant trees around Arbour Day. This year, students went to the home of Kevin and Danielle Smith south of High Prairie May 19 to plant about 70 spruce seedlings. With just over 50 students, the work was completed quickly with the help of teachers and other adults. The eager students attend the classes of Jane Capot, Melissa Isaac and Rhona Ragan. Over the years, students have also planted trees in campgrounds and local parks.
