Men don high heels to raise $10,800
A group of high-heeled, red shoed men braved the potholes and gravel June 5, making their way from the Sports Palace parking lot to Jaycee Park to highlight the plight of abused women.
It was the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraising event and 24 walkers raised $10,800 for the Sucker Creek Women’s Shelter, with more donations to come in. (more to read below)

High Prairie and area's week-long annual tribute to senior citizens is ready to begin June 7.
Seniors Week begins Monday with a Seniors Wellness and Information Fair at the Elks Hall in downtown High Prairie. Snacks and refreshments are provided as well as many door prizes to lucky seniors.
