Striking sidewinder

Madison Sutherland, 5, watches her latest attempt at a strike roll down the alley at Enilda Mud Bowl Oct. 15. Sutherland, from Grouard, and about 25 other children and youth attended the first day of Youth Bowling this season. Bowlers aged 4-17 years are invited to attend each Saturday at 10 a.m. for fun playing the grand game. Fun is emphasized more than competition as participants compete only against themselves while learning the game. No teams and standings are kept.
