Members of the Expo 2012 organizing committee continue to canvass locally for businesses and non-profit organizations, inviting them to participate in the event.
Chairperson Terri Rosser and co-chair Michael Smith held a meeting at the Amiro’s Steak House Jan. 10.
They are encouraging businesses and non-profit organizations to register as soon as possible. They don’t want them to lose out. The information package is also available on the High Prairie and Area Chamber of Commerce website.
“If you did not get an information package, get a hold of us,” says Smith. “Call the chamber or check their website, as the registration package is there, too.”
“It’s a chamber function for businesses and non-profit organizations in High Prairie to showcase themselves to the community,” says Rosser.
The theme of the event is Come and Expoz Yourself and it’s slated for Sept. 8-9.
Some businesses outside High Prairie are interested and have booked their spaces. A $100 deposit is required at the time of booking.
The committee wants to get the registration process completed earlier if possible so other matters don’t pile up before the show.
Volunteers and groups are welcome to participate for things such as selling 50/50 tickets.
For more information or to receive a package, please call Smith at 780-536-7466 or Rosser at 780-523-0446. Alternatively, go the chamber’s website at http://chamber.net
