Obituary: Frances (Pruden) Willier, 1948-2011

Frances (Pruden) Willier, of Sucker Creek, AB, passed away Friday, Sept. 9, 2011, in the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton, surrounded by her husband and children.

Fran was born in Doussal, AB on Oct. 25, 1948, to Frank and Mary Jane (Laboucane) Pruden.

Fran was blessed with six children: Jennifer, Candice, Lisa, Melody, Vincent, and Ashley; and eight grandchildren, Harley, Haley, Daniel, Georgia, Cathryn, Zheylin, Derek, Andrianna and the ninth to be born later this month.

Fran was well-known and will always be loved and remembered for her humour, her stories and her good cooking.

She is survived by: her sisters Christine L’Hirondelle, Mary Belhomme, Ruby Pruden, Helen Howse, Louise Kerkanich; and her brothers Joe, Alton, Billy and Thomas Pruden.

A funeral service will be held in McLennan Sept. 17.

Fran requested that no flowers be brought to the service. Instead, scented candles will be lit in her memory.
