(Kinuso) – A boil-water advisory in rural parts of the Kinuso area has been lifted, Alberta Health Services announced in a news release Aug. 19 at 1:20 p.m.
AHS confirmed satisfactory water quality was restored in the areas of:
- Range Rd. 93 to Range Rd. 102 (south of Highway 2 and along Highway 33).
- Range Rd. 94 to Range Rd. 100A (north of Highway 2 and south of Swan River).
All residents and businesses in those areas can return to normal water consumption practices.
Boiling is no longer required before consumption.
Information about flushing lines following a boil-water advisory and other information can be accessed online at https://myhealth.alberta.ca/Alberta/Pages/Boil-wateradvisory-how-to-use-water-safely.aspx.
Residents with health concerns can contact Health Link toll-free at 811 to speak with a registered nurse 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
A water-boil advisory was in effect for rural parts around Kinuso as crews repaired a water main break that occurred in water line servicing the Kinuso Water Co-op in late July.
The advisory for Kinuso and Swan River was lifted on Aug. 7.
