Carnival games and activities for children is part of the Canada Day fun in High Prairie at the Freson Bros. parking lot on July 1.

“We will have the same activities as we have had in the past,” says store manager Matt Lovsin.

The High Prairie and District Children’s Resources Council and Marigold Enterprises again will partner with Freson Bros., which has hosted the event for about the past seven years, he says.

Action is set from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A bouncy castle, children’s games, fun tattoos, hotdogs, drinks, a Canada Day cake, freezies, prizes, and a basketball hoop are all part of the fun.

Fundraising loophole tips scales for politicians in Alberta recall campaigns

Alberta’s recall legislation was introduced as a way to hold politicians to account and make ordinary voters the “boss” in provincial democracy.
