Residents of the region will get an opportunity to voice their ideas and concerns.
Big Lakes County has scheduled annual general ratepayers meetings for Faust on July 18 and Prairie Echo Hall on July 19.
“Ratepayer meetings have been held in the past with the intent to keep our ratepayers informed of our operations,” CAO Roy Brideau wrote in a report to council.
Meetings provide accurate financial information and a view of the coming events for the year.
“We should have our annual reports ready for those dates,” says Jordan Panasiuk, director of community services, who also served at the meeting as acting CAO.
Ratepayers’ meetings will also expand from previous years.
“Administration is proposing that the meetings this year include an information session set up like a trade show, which would have staff from each department available to answer questions,” wrote Brideau.
