Boaters will pay slightly more to store their watercraft on Lesser Slave Lake at Spruce Point Park west of Kinuso.
At its regular meeting Nov. 13, Big Lakes County council amended several fees in the Spruce Point Marina Facility Agreement with the Spruce Point Park Association.
Big Lakes received a request from the park association to amend Schedule B of the agreement to increase fees due to rising costs, Pat Olansky, director of community services and planning, told council.
The fee for a daily berth rises to $16 including the federal goods and services tax from $14.30.
For a weekly berth, the fee increases to $101 plus GST from $90.
The fee for a seasonal berth rises to $420 plus GST from $400.
“No changes to the daily launch fee of $10 or the yearly launch fee of $185 are proposed,” Olansky said.
She added 20 per cent of all gross revenue at the marina is paid to Big Lakes and held in a separate capital reserve.
Increased funds received are allocated to the Spruce Pont Park Marina Reserve Fund.
The weekly berth rates last increased in January 2024 with the remaining fees last increased in December 2022.
