After debating the issue for some time, the Village of Berwyn council has decided to hold less meetings in 2025.
At its Dec. 12 meeting, council approved changes to its Procedural Bylaw, which outlines procedures for council meetings, including rules for scheduling, the conduct of council members, and public participation.
Changes include reducing the number of meetings per month to one from two (to be held on the second Thursday of the month at 6 p.m.), and decreasing the delegation allotment time to 15 minutes from 30 minutes.
Council believes the changes will reduce costs and increase efficiencies.
