Hello once again from Joussard School! This is Hunter Laboucan and I am the reporter for the South Peace News for September. We’re back again, looking forward to a wonderful year of growing, playing and of course, learning.
My question to all of the classes today was, “What makes you happy about coming back to school?”
In kindergarten, the students said that playing tag and dodgeball in the gym made them happy to be back in school. The little folks also said that they were happy learning how to print the letter ‘A’. That’s a good sign!
Our Grade 1 students were happy to be back so that they could play outside with their friends and to use their iPads.
Students in Grade 2, were also happy to be able to play in the gym again and to dance while they were practicing counting.
In Grade 3, our students reported that they were happy to be back so that they could run in the gym from the green line to the black line.
Our Grade 4 students are happy to be back because they get to see their friends and they get to do Science.
In Grade Five, our students reported that coming back to play dodgeball in the gym and to learn about simple circuits made them happy.
And, in Grade 6, the students are happy to be back so that they can hang out with their friends and also be the oldest kids in the school.
All of us at Joussard School would like to give a big welcome our two new teachers: Hannah Madill teaches kindergarten and Kienan Wilson teaches Grade 5.
I am enjoying being a reporter and I hope you’ll read my report next week.

Samara Laboucan, who consistently shows kindness to everyone, welcomes new kindergarten teacher, Hannah Madill.

Demonstrating excellent leadership skills, Wapastim Isadore-Bellerose welcomes new Grade 5 teacher, Kienan Wilson, to Joussard School.
