At its Aug. 28 meting, Grimshaw town council voted to maintain the ATCO Electric franchise fee at the current rate for 2025 . . . Council also approved to move forward with the franchise free agreement reapproval process with ATCO Energy Systems . . . Council reviewed information about an upcoming Community Actions Poverty Simulation exercise hosted by the Peace River and Nampa and Northern Sunrise County Family and Community Support Services. The exercise allows participants to experience the challenges faced by those living in poverty. Council members are invited to participate . . . Council reviewed resolutions what will be discussed at the Alberta Municipalities convention Sept. 25-27 in Red Deer.
