‘Paws’itive donation!

by | Dec 7, 2024 | News

Town of High Prairie Councillor James Waikle’s luck has resulted in a $1,000 donation for In the Woods Animal Rescue. Waikle attended the Alberta Municipalities Convention and Trade Show Sept. 25-27 and won a door prize draw from ATCO Electric to donate $1,000 to the charity of his choice. In The Woods is located near Marie Reine. Waikle, right, presents the cheque to In The Woods volunteer Paula Taylor at council’s meeting Nov. 26. In the Woods cares for about 70 dogs, 40 cats and other animals at any given time. The donation will be used for feed and care of the animals. “I know this money will feed a lot of animals,” said Taylor. “It will all go toward the animals.”
