PIC – Donation ‘all heart’

Big Lakes County presented Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation area manager Margaret Bell, third from right, with a cheque for $15,000 on Sept. 28. Proceeds were raised at the third annual Big Lakes Charity Golf Tournament on Aug. 20. Also, $15,000 will be presented to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton at a later date and $2,500 each to the High Prairie and District Food Bank and Swan Hills Food Bank. Left-right are Prairie Echo – Salt Prairie Councillor David Marx, South Sunset House – Gilwood Councillor Ann Stewart, Faust Councillor Robert Nygaard, Reeve Ken Matthews, Bell, Kinuso Councillor Ken Killeen and Enilda – Big Meadow Councillor Ron Matula. The next tournament is scheduled for Aug. 17, 2017.
