St. Andrew’s School students Ryan Desjarlais, left, and Chance Supernault, centre, and former student Merle Supernault of East Prairie Metis Settlement, beat the drums during Aboriginal Day June 21.

St. Andrew’s Catholic School in High Prairie celebrated Aboriginal Day on June 21 as Aboriginal drummers and dancers performed for students from kindergarten to Grade 6. Bannock and stew were served for lunch.

 

School dancers included Zheylin Lamouche in front. Others, left-right, included Mildred Supernault, Jennifer Bone, Ryan Desjarlais, Chance Supernault, Gaby Dumont and Kassiandra Hamelin.
